is MBC boycotting YG? O__O
Currently there is a rumor going on that MBC and YG Entertainment is having a feud going on.
Why? Well as you all know, there will be a Chuseok-special show on MBC called, “Idol Group Survival: Sweet Girl”. Girl idol groups such as SNSD, Kara, 4minute, Afterschool, Brown Eyed Girls, and T-ara will be on it as well as the Wonder Girls, who will be showing their pre-recorded video message from USA.
All these popular idol groups are getting on it, and isn’t that great? Hmm, well something’s missing… That’s right! Where the heck is 2NE1? Yes 2NE1, who was probably the hottest idol group to debut this year, and who also stole a lot of 1st places in music shows and online charts. What happened? This is starting to get netizens curious, leading to the rumor.
Well it doesn’t end here. G-Dragon has been performing in KBS “Music Bank” and SBS “Inkigayo”, showing great performances - except for MBC’s “Music Core”. Well this raised even more questions, as people are thinking if there is some feud going on between MBC and YG Entertainment.
Ahn Woo Jung, the entertainment director of MBC, had a phone call with Newsen on the 25th. He commented, “There is no feud founded”, saying that it is all rumors. About the rumor’s, he commented that “because YG singers appearing on MBC shows are rare, it seems like this rumor got started, but this is all nonsense.”
He continued, saying, “I never had this discussion with YG’s president Yang Hyun Suk before, nor did I ever had a meeting with MBC’s Entertainment section crew.” “Of course, I know that you can’t see a lot of YG singers turning up on MBC shows. But that’s because of the ‘1 show casted per week’ policy, not because of some problem with us (YG & MBC).”
He then added, “It is their choice on whether they want to appear on our shows. Having one broadcasting company hating on a particular agency makes no sense.” “MBC Entertainment is open to everyone. If 2NE1, G-Dragon, or any YG Entertainment singer wants to appear on MBC shows, they will be invited.”
On the 24th, YG’s Yang Hyun Suk posted about the feud with MBC and also with KBS on his homepage, saying “Everytime there is a rumor like that, I feel sorry to the broadcasting company. I think it’s just a misunderstanding caused by our ‘1 show per week policy’, which is for our promotional strategy. There is absolutely no logic in ignoring a broadcasting company or broadcasting companies denying YG singers.”
Well since both sides revealed their opinion, it seems like it’s just a rumor. What do you guys think? Do you think there really is some kind of feud going on between broadcasters and agencies?
* its so funny how everyone is trying to find dirt on YGfamily just because SM and JYPE are in trouble now too.

good news about jaebeom??
A new light has been shed on the 2PM JaeBum’s case.
The once heated criticisms against his for his offending messages on his MySpace page has now died down much with his leaving of the group and returning to the States.
And there is starting to be clearance on JaeBum’s wrongdoing, and also emphasis on the problems of the media and looking into the essence of the incident.
Aired on the 15th, MBC ‘PD Notebook’ focused at the JaeBum’s case and talks about the problem of how discussion (of the case) caused the problem to be magnified. And as time pass, the interactions between the fans, netizens and discussion boards get into a chaotic state.
The truth is that emotions and fandom instead of rationality has got to many of the Korean netizens and fans in this case. Some fans and netizens actually played a part on how the case turned out to be in its current state – with the emotional fight the 2 parties have played out. Even though JaeBum should be at the centre of the case, it feels as though he has been thrown out of the spotlight of the whole incident.
With that, mentioned on PD Notebook, with rational judgement, things would have turned out better than it was. It seems that all the discussions about how JaeBum has done wrong and all that fandom to save their oppa have played a large part in the development of this event. This case should have be dealt with without the abnormal and overheated irrationality and judgement.
The turning point
The turning point to the case is the change in public opinions and all the exercises that fans are going through to return JaeBum back to the group.
Netizens are starting to voice, “Did JaeBum really make such a big wrong?”, “What kind of justice has JaeBum been put through all the improper and irrational judgement?”
While there are also netizens who said, “In this event, all parties get hurt. Everyone should time to reflect.”, “What is needed to heal all the wounds is time. Everyone should take a step back, and embrace one another with a rational mind.”
The expert says
A music industry expert also spoke up about this case, “It is true that in this case JaeBum’s words (on MySpace) were inappropriate looking at it on the societal level. But the situation continued at the state where there was no greater understanding. The netizens, fans and press were all irrational.”
“This should not have turned out this way. It was purely a mistake made when young, JaeBum had apologised, all that happening should have ended there. Netizens fell into a crazy chase to put JaeBum into a difficult spot and fans also went on an emtional path of sympathy for JaeBum. The press also ran articles magnifying the situation.”
After the airing of PD Notebook, another music industry expert said, “The fans, netizens and the press should look at the case macroscopically. If another outrage should not arise again. If another piece of the past is to add on to it, it brings more burden to JaeBum, only making it harder for him to return to 2PM. Every party should acknowledge their wrong, and work for a better solution to it.”

2PM Hottests are still in protest over ex-leader Jaebeom, and they showed so by returning their 2PM CDs to JYPE.
Jaebeom’s fanclubs have united and given out a statement regarding their actions, “The fans are feeling mixed emotions between disappointment and anger towards the company’s lack of responsibility of Jaebeom. The fans have supported 2PM as a group of 7 members, but because of JYPE’s lack of responsibility, they have began boycotting against all JYPE relations.”
On the 16th, around 2 in the afternoon, the boycotters sent in a car of 3000 2PM CDs to JYPE in notice of their protest. They are boycotting against JYPE until an official, public announcement is made, announcing that they will disregard Jaebeom’s decision in leaving the group.* now the post-its have new friends - boxes of CD’s
FIRE ;; 2NE1 FAMILY OUTING VERSION (lee hyori & daesung xD)
On the 13th September episode of Shin Hyun Joon’s Family Outing, they decided to have a noraebang (karaoke) session just before bedtime and it was mighty hilarious when 2NE1’s hit song, Fire started playing.
Even though Park Hae Jin and Yoon Jong Shin (even MC Yoo couldn’t resist dancing) were in this makeshift group for the performance, Hyori and Daesung really stole the show with their ridiculous dance and lipsyncing. This is one MIGHTY FUNNY clip that will make you fall over your chair in laughter, without the need for any subtitles. Hyori took on the role of CL while Daesung became Minzy and towards the end, their head banging was so over-the-top, violent (Hyori even fell down) and hilarious at the same time.
This episode was the last that Daesung recorded before he met with his horrific car accident, on his way home from filming. So treasure this episode and we await your return to Family Outing, Daesung as you continue your recovery.* oh daesung :[
* tehehhee<3 funny stuff!!
* hyori falls down.. BAHAHHAAH xD

jaebeom leaves 2PM…
On the official 2PM fancafe, leader Jaebeom announced that he will be officially quitting 2PM. JYPE has just confirmed this is true.
This decision was made after his recent Myspace controversy was blown out of hand. Jaebeom will be leaving Korea today at 6:30pm KST.
Jaebeom posted:“Hello, I’m 2PM’s Jaebeom.
I’m sorry for giving you my last greeting through this letter. I think it will be hard for me to see you all on stage because of my sorry heart.
I’m really sorry to everyone, and I’m even more sorry to the fans who have shown me love.
From today, I will leave 2PM.
2PM boys, I’m really sorry to the boys and I’m sorry I couldn’t be strong as a leader and a hyung and have to leave like this.
However, I hope you will be more cool and charming.
Again, I’m sorry.
Jaebeom”
* some rumors going around:
1. Jaebeum was given a choice to either leave 2PM or give up his position of leader
2. JYP forced jaebeom to quit
* THIS IS SO FREAKN SAD! i leave the comp for 2 hours.. adn when i come back.. THIS HAPPENS?! im sorry 2PM is not 2PM without their leader jaebeom..
on twitter, everyone is frantic.. some saying they will no longer support JYP groups if jay leaves. others telling jay to fight on, others just accept the fact but show much grief.. JAEBEOM is now an offical trending topic on twitter.. thats how much everyone arroudn the world cares about it..
im sorry to say this, but if jaebeom leaves… i’m no longer going to post 2PM stuff.. its just too sad.. without jaebeom.. seeing them on stage… they’re not going to be the group we all started with, the one we saw rise to fame, the one we’ve grown to love…
